Regimental Square, Sydney
Client: WATPAC
ACSG has the capacity to operate as a subcontractor. Our systems are flexible enough that they can meet the required legislation, codes, and guidelines while being tailored to project and client-specific needs. For this project, the works had to be completed and records submitted in accordance with WATPAC standards. This included all quality assurance, safety, and risk management documentation.
ACSG was contracted to undertake the scope of works that included demolition of existing furniture and concrete structures, the decommissioning and removal of redundant stormwater drainage infrastructure, the removal of pavers, demolition of garden beds, and tree and root system removal.
The challenges, constraints, and restrictions for this project involved:
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of the general public who passed by the works;
- Managing works and site access with and around multiple contractors;
- Discovery and management of unknown services in the Sydney CBD;
- Planning and scheduling works to ensure that all noisy works were carried out during appropriate hours; and
- Managing materials, both imported and those to be removed, within a highly constrained and shared site.
Overall, ACSG has the capacity to work alongside other subcontractors to ensure that a principal contractor is able to deliver works for their client in a timely and cost-effective manner.
